Seeking a top-tier maritime authority to lead the department. The ideal candidate is either a First Class Engineer (Combined or Motor) with at least three years of experience as a Chief Engineer on vessels over 373 BHP, OR a Master of a Foreign Going Ship with extensive command experience and a B.Sc. in Maritime Studies. You must also have significant shore-based experience as a Surveyor or Examiner. This role is for a strategic leader under 62 years of age.

Chief Engineer & Ship Surveyor (MP-II Scale)
(Directorate General, Karachi)

This critical role requires a technical virtuoso with a Certificate of Competency as a First Class Engineer (Combined or Motor). You must have a minimum of three years of experience serving as a Chief Engineer on ships of at least 373 BHP. Additionally, you bring at least three years of high-level experience in roles such as an Engineer and Ship Surveyor or an Examiner of Marine Engineers. Candidates should not exceed 62 years of age.

(Mercantile Marine Dept, Karachi - 02 Posts)

Two positions are open for meticulous and experienced surveyors. You must hold a Certificate of Competency as a First Class Engineer (Combined or Motor). The role requires at least two years of experience as a Chief Engineer on ships over 373 BHP. (Note: The sea-time requirement is reduced to one year for candidates holding an Extra First Class Engineer's Certificate). The maximum age for applicants is 62 years.
